PRIVACY NOTICE

Recently, legislation has been passed that requires business such as ours to establish procedures for protecting the privacy of non-public personal information. At Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance Agency, the protection of your privacy is very important to us.

OUR POLICY

We do not disclose any non-public personal information pertaining to our policyholders or claimants to any third party except as permitted by law.

OUR PROCEDURES

The Information We Collect

We gather most non-public personal information regarding our policyholders from the insurance application. Depending upon the type of insurance being applied for, we may seek additional information. We may, for instance, contact the Registry of Motor vehicles for driver records or at other times inspect your property in the case of homeowners or building insurance. We also have the need to occasionally contact lenders for information pertaining to mortgages or loan statistics on your behalf.

The Information We Disclose

We do not disclose any non-public personal information about our clients except as permitted by law. Examples of information that we disclose to third parties without your authorization may include those made to the Registry of Motor Vehicles, insurance company underwriters, your mortgage lender or leinholder adjusters and appraisers who settle and investigate claims.

How We Protect Your Personal Information

Private information pertaining to our clients can only be accessed by authorized personnel with specific need for such data so as to provide you with the service you are entitled to. We maintain electronic, physical and procedural safeguards to protect all personal information.

If you desire any additional information regarding our privacy policy, please feel free to contact our office at 508-673-5808.
